Jataatavee Galajjala Pravaaha Paavitasthale
Galeavalambya Lambitaam Bhujanga Tunga Maalikaam ।
Damad Damad Damad Damanninaada Vadda Marvayam
Chakaara Chanda Taandavam Tanotu Nah Shivah Shivam ॥1॥

One who wears a garland of serpents around his neck sanctified by the waters of the Ganges emanating from his dense hairs, dance the tandava on the sound of the damru. May Lord Shiva bless us ॥1॥

Jataa Kataaha Sambhrama Bhramanni Limpa Nirjharee
Vilolaveechi Vallaree Viraajamaana Murddhanee ।
Dhagad Dhagad Dhaga Jjvalallalaata Patta Paavake
Kishora Chandra Shekhare Ratih Pratikshanam Mama ॥2॥

Whose head is being adorned with the fickle waves of the Ganges swirling rapidly in a bowl made of hair, frontal fire is burning, the moon is seated on the head, may I have constant affection in that Lord Shiva ॥2॥

Dharaa Dharendra Nandinee Vilaasa Bandhu Bandhura
Sphuraddiganta Santati Pramoda Maana Maanase ।
Kripaa Kataaksha Dhoranee Niruddha Durdharaapadi
Kvachiddigambare Mano Vinodametu Vastuni ॥3॥

Seeing all the directions illuminated by the crown of Mother Parvati, whose mind is getting blissful. By whose constant grace, even the most difficult calamities are resolved. May my mind find joy in such an element ॥3॥

Jataa Bhujanga Pingala Sphuratphanaa Maniprabhaa
Kadamba Kunkuma Drava Pralipta Digvadhu Mukhe ।
Madaandha Sindhu Rasphura Ttvaguttareeya Medure
Mano Vinoda Madbhutam Bibhartu Bhuta Bhartari ॥4॥

On whose forehead the light spreading from the beads of the snakes is shining in all directions. May my mind rejoice wonderfully in those Bhootnatha dressed in elephant leather ॥4॥

Sahasra Lochana Prabhritya Sheshalekha Shekhara
Prasuna Dhuli Dhoranee Vidhu Saraanghri Peethabhuh ।
Bhujanga Raaja Maalayaa Nibaddha Jaata Jutakah
Shriyai Chiraaya Jaayataam Chakora Bandhu Shekharah ॥5॥

Whose footpads are turning gray with the safflower of flowers on their foreheads as a result of bowing down to Indra and other deities. May that Lord Chandrashekhara, who is tied to the necklace of Nagraj, give me everlasting wealth ॥5॥

Lalaata Chatvara Jvaladdhananjaya Sphulingabhaa
Nipeeta Pancha Saayakam Namanni Limpa Naayakam ।
Sudhaa Mayukha Lekhayaa Viraajamaana Shekharam
Mahaa Kapaali Sampade Shiro Jataala Mastu Nah ॥6॥

The one who destroyed Kamadeva by the brilliance of the fire ignited on the frontal altar, whom Indra salutes. May that elaborate head with a huge frontal complex adorned with a crown of the phases of the moon bestow us wealth ॥6॥

Karaala Bhaala Pattikaa Dhagad Dhagad Dhagajjvala
Ddhananjayaa Huteekrita Prachanda Pancha Saayake ।
Dharaa Dharendra Nandinee Kuchaagra Chitra Patraka
Prakalpa Naika Shilpini Trilochane Ratirmama ॥7॥

Who had burnt Kamadeva to ashes in the fierce fire burning on his formidable forehead. May God keep my mind in Trilochana, the only craftsman of nature ॥7॥

Naveena Megha Mandalee Niruddha Durdhara Sphuratkuhu
Nisheethinee Tamah Prabandha Baddha Kandharah ।
Nilimpa Nirjharee Dharastanotu Kritti Sindhurah
Kalaa Nidhaana Bandhurah Shriyam Jagaddhurandharah ॥8॥

In whose throat there is a blackness like darkness spreading at midnight of the new moon surrounded by clouds. One who is wearing elephant skin. He is the bearer of the burden of the world and whose radiance is as beautiful as the light of the moon. May Lord Gangadhara expand my wealth ॥8॥

Praphulla Neela Pankaja Prapancha Kaalima Prabhaa
Valambi Kantha Kandalee Ruchi Prabaddha Kandharam ।
Smarachchhidam Purachchhidam Bhavachchhidam Makhachchhidam
Gajachchhidaandha Kachchhidam Tamanta Kachchhidam Bhaje ॥9॥

Whose throat is imitating the blue glow of the blooming blue lotus group. I worship who destroy Kamadeva, Tripura, Bhava, Daksha Yagya, Gajaasura, Andhakaasura and Yama ॥9॥

Akharva Sarva Mangalaa Kalaa Kadamba Manjaree
Rasa Pravaaha Maadhuree Vijrimbhanaa Madhuvratam ।
Smaraantakam Puraantakam Bhavaantakam Makhaantakam
Gajaanta Kaandha Kaantakam Tamanta Kaantakam Bhaje ॥10॥

One who is the drinker of nectar in the art form of Parvati ji. I worship who is the destroyer of Kamadeva, Tripura, Bhava, Daksha yagya, Gajaasura, Andhakaasur and Yama ॥10॥

Jayatvada Bhravibhrama Bhramad Bhujanga Mashvasa
Dvinirgamat Krama Sphurat Karaala Bhaala Havyavaat ।
Dhimid Dhimid Dhimid Dhvanan Mridanga Tunga Mangala
Dhvani Krama Pravartita Prachanda Taandavah Shivah ॥11॥

On whose head the fierce frontal fire is spreading gradually due to the hiss of the snakes moving with great velocity. Hail to Lord Shankara, who is going through a fierce tandava with the solemn melodious voice of the soft mridanga ॥11॥

Drishad Vichitra Talpayor Bhujanga Maukti Kasrajor
Garishtha Ratna Loshthayoh Suhrid Vipaksha Pakshayoh ।
Trinaaravinda Chakshushoh Prajaamahee Mahendrayoh
Sama Pravrittikah Kadaa Sadaa Shivam Bhajaamyaham ॥12॥

In stone and beautiful beds, in a snake and garland of pearls, in precious stones and clay, on the side of friend or foe, in the straw and the beautiful maiden, among the people and the kings of the earth, when will I worship Sadaashiva with the same feeling? ॥12॥

Kadaa Nilimpa Nirjharee Nikunja Kotare Vasan
Vimukta Durmatih Sadaa Shirah Sthamanjalim Vahan ।
Vilolalola Lochano Lalaama Bhaala Lagnakah
Shiveti Mantra Muchcharan Kadaa Sukhee Bhavaamyaham ॥13॥

When will I be happy while concentrating my mind on the beautiful frontal lord Chandrashekhara, abandoning my evil thoughts and reciting the Shiva Mantra with tearful eyes and folded hands living inside the forest on the banks of the Ganges? ॥13॥

Imam Hi Nityameva Mukta Mutta Mottamam Stavam
Pathan Smaran Bruvannaro Vishuddhi Meti Santatam ।
Hare Gurau Subhakti Maashu Yaati Naanyathaa Gatim
Vimohanam Hi Dehinaam Sushankarasya Chintanam ॥14॥

The person who recites, remembers and narrates this excellent hymn regularly, remains always pure and soon attains the devotion of Lord Shankara. He does not attain the opposite movement because the meditation of Shiva is the destroyer of delusion ॥14॥

Pujaa Vasaana Samaye Dashavaktra Geetam
Yah Shambhu Pujana Param Pathati Pradoshe ।
Tasya Sthiraam Ratha Gajendra Turanga Yuktaam
Lakshmeem Sadaiva Sumukheem Pradadaati Shambhuh ॥15॥

After the worship is over in the evening, the one who recites this Shiva Tandava Stotram sung by Ravana, Lord Shankar bestows the man with a stable property consisting of chariots, elephants, horses ॥15॥
